Your inner leader
There is this concept that I have encountered in co-active coaching, meditation and self-compassion practice… this idea of our highest self, the wisest and most compassionate version of who we are. The leader within.
As I am approaching the end of my coaching certification, I have found myself feeling a little lost and asking myself where to next.
In these moments, I often find refuge in this part of me. And when I invoke her, she offers exactly what I need.
This week she showed me a beautiful sunset.
There was an incredible sense of awe, admiration and serenity towards what’s yet to come. Even writing this, I feel my heart expand.
I felt joy, love and peace wash over me. And something else… that I cannot exactly put words to yet… I felt that I wasn’t alone there. And that I wasn’t exactly me. Trippy, I know!
Most importantly, I’ve felt a sense of calm clarity ever since.
In my work with clients, I find it essential to discover and strengthen the relationship with this part of our psyche. Because it is so easy to be run by our conditioning and go there by default. But our inner leader is always there for us to expand our sense of self. She’s always been there.
What comes up for you when you read this? How would it be like to access this part of who you are more consciously?
